Junior Star Singer 2017 took to the road again on Saturday 7th October to Leatherhead in Surrey for the show on Surrey Hills Radio.

Established in 2014, Surrey Hills is one of the Surrey-based stations that host the Junior Star Singer Songwriter radio competition.

With main presenter Dan Joyce and his team waiting in the wings to help behind the scenes as well with all the organising, it was a pretty smooth show!

Main presenter and founder of the show, Amanda Neale, arrived with co-presenter Rachael Summers, Behind the Mic presenter for JSS Luca Scurr and special guests Teide Bryce and Georgia Lois to join the show.  Amanda Neale discussed the new show for Junior Star Singer in Europe for 2018 where contestants from the UK will have the chance to compete against European contestants in a series of 6 episodes next year.  Rachael also gave news of her new release of the Junior Star Singer theme song 'Livin' the Dream' which is due for release later this year, so look out for it on Spotify and iTunes.

The contestants this year for Surrey Hills Radio were Chloe Dunne, Hayley Wheeler, Amber Hersey and Gracie Kane.

Teide Bryce, who just recently featured on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey for her debut, sang her track 'Alfie Brown' which was written for her baby nephew.  She sang this track after the Junior Star Singer contestants went on.  We were later joined by Georgia Lois one of our first ever contestants who is Junior Star Singer Judge this year who sang her latest track 'Everything I wish for' which has been produced by Anthony Goldsbrough.  Anthony has worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Emilie Sande and Sam Smith to name but a few and has worked on the JSS project since it was originally called 'Junior Star Factor' back from the start and when it was a talent show featured in venues across the South of the UK.
